POULTRY SHOW.
' (0) (Per Press Association.) Auckland, July 15. The New Zealand Championship Show opened to-day. The total entries staged numbered 1078, which includes 250 from different centres of the colony. The Gisborne entries have not yet arrived on the Dingadee, due to arrive at 5 o'clock, and probably they will not be judged. The following are the prize-takers Pile cockerel, Alf. Walker, Chrictchurch, 1, gold medal and championship; India cock, Alf. Walker, 2; Duckwing cock, Geo. Andrews, Christchurch, 1; India hen, A. Walker, Christchurch, 2; pullet, Walker, Christchurch, 2; Dorkingß, dark cock and hen, J. A. Stevens, Napier, 1 j dark cockerel, H. E. Mann, Waimate, 1, gold medal and championship; dark pullet, Stevens, Napier, 1; silver grey cockerel, S. C. Kesteven, Christchurch, 1; buff cinnamon, cock and hen Cochins, E. E. Bannister, Wellington, 2; buff and cinnamon cockerel, P. S. Brodie, Invercargill, I and 2, and championship gold medal; partridge, hen and cockerel, B. E. Bannister, Wellington, 2; othor variety, Bannister 1 aud 2. In pigeons, Preston and Curtis, of Wellington, are prizetakers, the latter taking Ist and special for biue chick owl cock.
