Trouble over Federation.
(By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) \ (i-'resb Acaociatioo) \ Received July 10, at 10.85 a.m. j : Sydney, July 15. ■■ In the Assembly the Minister of Works moved that the Federation Bill be withdrawn. v The Acting-Premier said the Bill was brought forward on the understanding that it would not be opposed. The House, however, had refused the second reading, and the only dignified course was to withdraw it. The responsibility rested on the House, not on Government, who hid a sincere desire to be represented at the Convention. . z The motion for withdrawal was catried by 42 to 18.
