A number of papyri—rolls made of the papei- of the papyrus plant, from wb'ch was mode the paper of Egypt and India, used for writings until the discovery of parch me at, about 100 B.C. —have been discovered amoogst the ruins of a town in tbe Libyan desert in Northern Africa. Tfcey contain eight alleged sayings of Jesus Christ, and 1 eome of them ate .wholly new.
