Trooper Harkus, of the NewSouth wales Lancers, won the first prize in tent-pegging at the Volunteer and YeomaDry Tournament at the Crystal Palace, aad Sergeant O'Grady, also of the Lancers, waa first in the sword v. sword combat. July 11. The Bight Hon C. C. Kingston (Premier of South Australia), in the course of an interview, said he had not heard of a demand for closer political union with Great Britain until he arrived in England. Received July 13, at 9.45 a.m. Londok, July 12. The visit of the Premiers to Hawarden was a great success. Mr Gladstone conversed with the visitors for an hour, speaking in turn on topics of special interest to each.
