Pohangina County Affairs.
A meeting of the Gommittoe re> the regulation of wheel traffio on the Courty, / roads, was held yesterday. Present— Messrs Dioken (chairman), Ore W. Brown, H. Fraaer and D. Sinolair (Engineer. The rules as proposed to be adopted were carefully considered, and thos* of an objectionable oharaoter were rejected and others altered to suit what was ' considered better for country district. One of the rules—that of the weight 0 ( a load on a waggon—should be exclusive of the waggon itself. That a license granted, by one local body should be sufficient to do for iUstriotß tht'ough which such licensed vehiole travels. That a load of six tons oaa waggon, exclusive of the weight of the waggon, On four wheels, Sin. tire, drawn by a traction engine, while a waggon drawn i:' by 6 horses, 4 wheels, Bin. tire, is only to oarrj* 5 tons inolusive of the weight of the waggon. - Several other alterations were made and suggested and the Chairman (Mr ' was appointed to attend the meeting of delegates in Feilding on the 10th insiant and endeavor to have rucn alterations made as was ooneidored neoeai&ry. - .
