A deputation representing over two hundred thousand members of " - the Protestant churches asked the Colonial Treaflurer to use hw influence to have a provision inserted in the preamble of the Common- , wealth Bill recognising the Almighty God. The Treasurer promised to confer with other delegates and i£ possible to have the provision inserted. Similar well supported movements are afoot in other colonies.
