Herbal Treatment.

Verral yesterday, the evidence of Professor Bickerfcon, who had made .an analysis of deceased's stomach, and of the few drops remaining of the medicine supplied by a herbalist, was to the effect that he could not certainly say what the medicine was, but he suggested lobelia. This drug is used as an emetic, and is poisonous if taken m sufficient quantity. ItJB accord ing to Taylor, one of the poisons frequently prescribed by quacks, ami iB a dangerous drug. There is no positive proof, however, that it had been administered, and the jury returned an open verdict.
