(united press association.) Nelson, Saturday. Some new and beautiful caves have been found on some land owned by Mr Abbot, at Takaka, Golden Bay. The caves contain a large number of.moa bones, many of them m a very perfect state of preservation. - "! Mr Matthew Burnett took nearly 600 pledges m this district, He has received bad news regarding his wife's health. Blenheim, Saturday. Mr Matthew Burnett, temperance advocate, opened a five days' mission tonight. There was a crowded meeting. The Mayor was m the chair. Over 100 pledges were taken. New Plymouth, Saturday. Lofley, who is charged with deserting his wife m Auckland, was brought up this morning. A telegram was read from the Auckland police, m which they spy Mrs Lofley asserts that her husband employed a cabman and two other men to entice her into a brothel but failed m his object. The men haye admitted they were paid by him for such a purpose. Prisoner was remanded to Auckland.
