The Chronicle hardly puts the matter correctly when it says that " the present Bore feeling existing m Palmerston is caused by dieseosions among tho Committee themselves, and not by any action of the Education Board.'* If it had gone a little further and said that the dissensions were attributable entirely to the precipitate action and discourteous demeanour of one memberof the Committee, then it would have correctly Rtated the case. So far as the Board is concerned, the only injudicious action was that of the Executive, who sent out the High Court of Commissioners to hold an investigation. That was a mistake, but not a serious or unpardonable one. On the whole, the Pahnerßton School Committee has got along very well with the Wnuganni Education Board, and does not desire to sover its connection with that body — at any rate at present ; and those who nsserttio.do not speak m conformity with truth and facts.
