Several speculative pur-; ■chases of prime butter are reported 1 at' ;prices from 9d to 9£d, but until the ar:nval of intelligence from Sydney of a | .more cheering character it is impossible iio quote higher rates for the current 1 :nionth. The ruling Drices for potatoes £3 5s to £3 10s, chaff £3 10s, to i! 4, i -cheese, 6d, bacon and hams Bd, fresh. Gutter lid, eggs 2s 6d, honey 4d to 6d, •are unaltered.
