In connection with the blasting accident m Dowling- street, a claim has heen sent to tho City Council hy Mr Irwio on account of the death of his wife, one from a restaurant keeper for £36 for damage to furniture, and one from an expressman for £250. for .injury sustained by breaking a thumb.
