The University, requiring 64 runs to win, then went m for their second inninf ■, but were all disposed of for 38. Spofforth took six wickets for 20 runs. The Australians made 70 m their first inning* and 38 m their second, and the Oxford 45 m their first innings and 38 m their second. The Australians thus won the match with 25 runs to spare.
