FREEMAN ,R. JACKSON'S & CO.'S FORTNIGHTLY STOCK REPORT.
Our usual sales held during the past fortnight were fairly well attended. We have no alterations m values to report. We cleared out all that came forward at current rates. At last Saturday's sale there was a large attendance, chiefly those interested m landed property, as we offered Messrs J. & C. Durie'B Waitotara estate. We submitted' the whole farm m one lot, but failed to obtain a purchaser. Since then negotiations are pending for different oortioas of the land, which we believe will lead to business. Horses came forward m about the usual numbers, the bulk finding purchasers at present values. Cattle.— At Waverley : fat cows, £3 12s 6d; forward cows, £2 10s to £3; bullocks, £4 to £4 17s 6d ; weaners, 265. At St. Hill Street : fat cows, £3 6s to £3 14s. Sheep.— Best wethers, 10s ; good wetbejrs, 8s 6d to 8s lOd ; fat ewes, 7s 8d; maiden ewes, 7s lid; ewes m lamb, 7s 3d ; old fat ewes, 5s Bd. Pigß. — At lower values ; bacon pips, 25s to 455 ; porkers, 19s to 12s ; bows, 17s to 20s ; stores, 5s to 7s. Poultry.— Fowls, 2s 2d to 8s 6d ; ducki, 3s 3d to 8s 9d.
