TEXT FOR N EXT SUND A Y.
(TO THE EDITOR DaILY STANDARD.) Sir, — The following text would be very appropriate for the purer and nearer elements to .preach from. Acts, 19th cli >p. and 25tU verse. " Whom he called together with the workmen of like occupation, and said, sirw, ye know that by this craft we have our wealth."— I am, etc., John Chinaman. Palmerston North, 27th May, 1886. MR WRIGHT TAKENTO TASK. (to the editor daily standard.) Sir, — I note m the report of the pro ceediugs at the Board of Education, that the Rev A. M. Wright stated that I voted illegally at the clectiou of the School Committee, and also made other statements at which lam very much annoyed. The Rev A. M Wright either slated a deliberate falsehood, or he made a sthbraent he should not have done without aa.ertainin^ the facts ; as I was a householder at the time, and still am, therefore voted, because it was my right to do so. Such is the way this Revd. geatleman has put this country to expi'iise, caused illfeeling m this district, and Inconvenience to the householders. — I am, etc., George Eldrrsuaw, Seur.
