Rev. A. M. Wright attended to support big objections to the elections. .The proceedings opened by the reading of the Rev. Mr Wright's letter to the Board, m which he objected : " to the election of the committee on the ' grounds that several non-householders had voted. He instanced the cans of • Mr Healy, reporter on the Manawatu , Standard ; Mr Hoskinga, a blacksmith,. . whose father,, was a householder and . voted ; Mr 'Hawking jurir., who' ii'se'd hi» .father's office ; and Mr Carter, a bachelor, of the firhfa of . Mr Wright also mentioned the case of a youth named Tanner, who had voted; but had no right to do ho. — After the deputa- . tion had retired there was some discus* lion.- Mr Bridge considered the evidence insufficient basis on which to upset the : /- . election. .
