This iC<mnei) resolves that m the pvent of a °r company beinsr formed for Abe construction of a railway between Horowhenua and Greatford, by either junction with existing lines or direct, font via Foxton and Sanson, they will interpose their authority and exercise all the powers conferred upon them by the 'various statutes applicable thereto, and the necessary land for the con-gtrjictwa-of the said railway, and hand to the syndicftto or company, the iaid land upon payment for the same, including expanses connected therewith. That this Council further desires to iteqnest the cn-opomtir>n of tlie Councils of Kanqilikei and Horowhenna, and Requests the chnirman to propose and obtain the sanction of their Councils to similar concessions within their Counties as here proposed.
