POLITICAL NEWS.
The latest report current m the lobbies is that, with the concurrence of Major Atkinson, the leadership of the Opposition party is to be offered to Mr Bryce, and that if that gentleman will consent to be nominated for the position, his election is certain. We simply give this rumour for what it may be worth.
