Fire.
A two-storey four-roomed house at Terrace End, belonging to Mr J. flanlon, was burnt down this morning at about 4 o'clock. The house was situated at the rear of the cottage known as Shamrock Bower, where the cemetery works are. . The Brigade, mustering about teu men were on the spot a short time af ttr the bell had rung, nnd although they were unable to save the building or cootents they were successful m preventing the spread of the fire to the adjoining houses. The insurance as far as we can ascertain are £50 on the building, aud £40 on the furniture, both m the Royal.
