(ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH. — COPYRIGHT.) (reuter's telegrams.) London, May 1. Three per cent. Consols are quoted at 100J New Zealand securities are unaltered. Colonial breadstufls remain at last quotations. The Bank rate of discount is 2 per cent., and the market rate 2 par cent. The total quantity of wheat afloat for the United Kingdom is 1,830,000 quarters. New Zealand mutton is worth 5Jd per Ib. Australian tallow, of fair average quality, is quoted — Beef, 22s 6d ; mutton, 23s 6d per cwt. The stock of tallow m London ts 28,000 casks. The wheat market is quiet, biit business is retained. Foreign colonial business is firmer. There have been no arrivals since last One Australian cargo on the passage has been offered at 355.
