The Sheep and Rabbit Act.
BECOMMENDATION BY A COUNTY COUNCIL.
(united press association) Dunedin, Saturday. The CJutha County Council has passed a motion that it was the opinion of the Council that the Sheep and Rabbit Acts require reconstruction, nnd the House of Bopreßentntives was requested to take steps to nmend them, the Council suggesting that to cope most effectually with the rabbit nest it was desirable to dispense with a large number of sheep and rabbit inspectors, the money so saved to be expended m bonuses for rabbit-skins. In connection with the' Sheep Act, inspectors were only necessary where scab pxisted .
