At the tisuaJ monthly meeting of the above board yesterday there were present—Messrs Watt ,(ohauruian)»-; Fry, Sanson, Bridge, Bate, Ross, Baker and Carson. Appointments Committee.— The fol lowing business done by the Appoint-, ments Cotnmitee was approved,:-^- Fwm. Miss Roberts, of Stoney Greekjj.applying for removal. Request not acceded to.— i From Turakina Valley, applying for ap-: I pointment of Mr Matheson, arid iipm Mr Matbeson stating his. willingness to. accept' the position. Resolved to accept , him^Froin Miss Randolph, of Karere, resigning; accepted. ... Bunnythorpe. — The. report of the committee on the Bnnnythorpe school was accepted. Correspondence. — From Runbolton Road stating ..that the two half time schools were about to be opened t< and asking for a quantity of school requisites. Referred :to inspector. From. Kimbolton Road re a building. Referred to committee. ••■■■•-.•-•.. The Board then adjourned till 2 o clock, and*on resuming, went into committee on the subject: of establishing schools m the ontlyins: districts. . . .Ne w Schoels.— On the board resuming, it was reported that; the committee had agreed to the following resolution, which was adopted :— Tliat a sum not exceed- • ing £1000 be voted for school builduigs m the outlying .districts,., .among the grantffbeing Cheltenham, £120 ; Orpua Bridge, ;fl2p.^. i: . s -~' . ;' 'Palmerston North,,— Application for shelter shed.
