The Foxton paper has the following: "Great disgust was expressed last week m the Foxton distrht at the train arrangements for the Easter holidays. Foxton was ignored altogether, and so far as the township was concerned it might almost have been m Timbuctoo." Surely the Foxton paper forgets that on the last occasion when an excursion traia ran from Foxton it consisted of iiv«n carriages and carried live passengers. The Town Clerk notifies that all persons whose names now appear on tht list may have the same trans* ferred to the burgess list by paying rates now m arrear before the date of the sitting of the Council on Friday next.. Tire regular fortnightly meeting of the Blue Ribbon Temperance Union will bo held m the Rechabite Hal) on Friday evening, at 7.30. There will be vocal music, readings, recitations, &c. All are invited. r
