I'UNITKD PBESS ASSOCIATION.^ Welungton, Weduesdayi .The delegates to Fiji, Messrs Mass and Seed returned to-day by the Arawata. The schooner Ghristina had arrived from Auckland a few days before thei;Ara wata with the Auckland newspapers, etc., and banquets to the delegates were arranged at Suva and Levuka, but;, finding an idea prevalent that the mission was both political and commercial, the delegates asked to be excused from attending the public reception.They state that the reception by both Government and people was most cordial, and i 'theyexprdss themselves well pleased. They had numerous interviews with the acting (governor and the Council who will give the subject full consideration. ' The Fiji GoVernmeat will send delegates to New Zealand to pro- ; pose a treaty .'based on'ithe free admission of each other's production with power to extend the same treaty to the -Australian Colonies.
