Three J.P.s Charged with Conspiracy.

(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION/) New Plymouth, Monday. At the Police Court to day a charge of conspiracy was preferred by Joshua Jones against three Justices of the Peace to the effect that they did, on the sth February last, at New Plymouth, amongst themselves unlawfully and wickedly conspire, combine, and confederate and agree together to sit (notwithstanding that an objection had been made thereto) and determine a case against Joshua Jones to his great damage. A large amount of evidence was taken, the substance of which was that the defendants had determined to sit and try the case, although they had been summoned as witnesses, and refused to obey the summons and give evidence. The further hearing of the case was adjourned till to-morrow.
