Another member of the Salvation Army has died m hospital at Paris, from the effect of injuries received from tits hands of some bad characters of La Villetta. He was a Frenchman, named Neol, 47 years old and the father of a family. Having been some time out of work, he undertook to distribute tracts and pamphlets, and to sell papers m th* street for the Salvation Army. He was severely beaten while engaged m tho performance of his allotted' task,, and had to be taken to Lariboisere Hospital, where he has since succumbed to his iv-: juries. A. coachman whom a dweller on Fifth Avenue suddenly raised to a post of waiter at a sudden party when, a sudden resignation had left the place vacant within an hour of the assembling of the guests was delighted. The host was delighted to find that an old dress coat and vest would, fit the coachman, and spent tea minutes m acpuainting the servant with the usages of polite society at {a dinner. Among other ihings, the host told his coachman that he was on no account to let any of the guests be helped a second time to soup. The guests took their places at the table, and the soup was quite creditably served. The coachman observed that one , gentleman pushed his plate of soup away from him. > The servant leaned over and drew the plate back again m front of the' gentleman, who m turn pushed it from him again. This displeased the coachman. He thought' he saw a breach of decorum m action. "Ate your soup, son!" said he m trumpet tones, "yez'll get no more." ,
