The church people of Ashurst propose giving a series of monthly popular enter tainmeuts to commence about the 2nd week m May, the proceeds to bo given to defray the expenses m re-roofing the church, etc. The roof was damaged by fire, and the residents decided to put on auother roof with a higher pitch.
