(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION) New Plymouth* Monday. At about 4.30 this morning thekitdhod of he tßed House Hotel was found td be on fire. Owing to the cdnstable oil ddty giving the alarm quickly, the fire was extinguished before much damage was done. The origin of the flre is supposed to have been the defective setting of the kitchen range. I I The Hon. Mr Stout arrived here on I Saturday nightj -and yesterday was taken by Mr Samuel, 'M.H.R., and "others, to (the White Cliffs Constabulary station. This morning the Premier visited the High School, and durinr the afternoon he will visit the harbour works. He leaves for Patea by train to-night, en route for Wellington.
