ROAD BOARD ELECTIONS.
The ratepayers of No. 2 Ward, m the Manawatu Road Board district, will be to learn that Mr G-. M. Snelson, t'icir present warden, has decided, at the urirent personal solicitation of a number of his friends, to again offer himself as a candidate for the representation of that ward at the forthcoming election. Mr Snelsox has exerted himself on all occasions, publicly and privately, m the service of the Board, and as a natural consequence he has the confidence and esteem of the great hulk of the ratepayers m the district, nearlly all of whom wish to see him again represent No". 2 Ward, and again occupy the position of Chairman, the duties of both of which positions he has discharged with diligence, zoal, and efficiency. It is doubtful if Mr Snelson will be opposed, so satisfied are the ratepayers with his conduct of public business m his present dual position as warden and chairman. Few but will freely admit that Mr Snelson has done his utmo-t to advance the interests of the district m connection with Road Boad matters, with which he has closely and zealously identified himself, for many years past.
