An Interrupted Prize Fight.

(Per Mail Steamer.) Despatches from Paris of Febrnary 19th says that a prize fight between Greenfield and Smith for the English heavy weight championship and £2000, to come off that day, broke up m a row. v The men cara«jtogethc-r and fought, o>ye.i£| nn lour with varying fortune, .whan the roughs broke into the ring and interrupted the contest. The excitement attending the contest was very great, (here beiug at least £2000 m wagers. Greenfield is from Birmingham, and Smith is a London Irishman. Each comhatant had with him, it is stated, twenty bruisers at £5 each to protect his interest. The Birmingham roughs liroke down the ringy and compelled the stoppage of the fight beemifw Smith was evidently on the point of winning. Tbe umpire fMaceJ writes to the Telegraph on the 17th, that he had decided that Smith and Greenfield should meet again and fight it out, but that their hackers said they wished the contest declared a draw, and they, really decided the question themselves.
