ARRIVAL OF THE 'FEISCO MAIL.
# (united press association ) Auckland, Sunday, Arrived — Mariposa, from San Francisco at 8.30 this evening. San Fjjancisco, M>irch 14. The steamship Mariposa, advertised to leave San Francisco for Sydney on Saturday, was detained till the 14th to await the arrival of a portion of the English mail. On March 10 the wind blew with hurricane force on the Atlantic. Steamers for America were unable to leave Queenstown owing to the violence of the gales. Ships both outward and inward bound weae under bare poles.
