(itJNITKD PEESB ASSOCIATION*.) Auckland, Friday. The case of Ponsonbv Peacock, late Assistant Inspector to the Board of KliK-ation, came up m bankruptcy proceedings. Mr Justice Gillies asked whether this was not the case m which t lie liaukr'pt Imd received money from tlie Uoard of Education. Mr Cave ex]i! lim'd that that w.t»a so.- The Official Assignee had to apply to the Board for the money, so that the Board had to^pay tli» money twice over, but the creditors offered no opposition, and the' matter had been before the Court a long time. His Honor said that there was a duty cast on the Court by the Act. The debtor's conduct m regard to this money w«8 not satisfactory. He got that money from the Board, and did not account for it to the Assignee, and he did not f«el justified m granting him his disch tree. The Court would mark its sens:- of the debtor's conduct by suspending hiH discharge for[six months.
