It does not tppeur that the San son , Oarvarvon tramway, is a very remunerative undertaking, as judged by the following correspondence rod at Thursday's meeting of the Manawatn County Council :— From R. Bydder, stating the weekly receipts from fares between Sanson and Bulls had during the last two months averaged but 7s 2d per week, the last week being only three shillings, and asked for better arrangements. Received. From Mr Falloon, enclosing an account of £6 11s 8d for subsidy on buggy and hire of buggy and home when engine broke' down, also notifying that he. intended to ceaje running the buegy regularly, but he would, have the conveyance ready to, meet : Foxton trains for the convenience of passengers.
