OJNITEP PRBSB ASSOCIATION)^ Wellington, Monday. At a meeting of the creditors of Jas. . Smith, the late landlord of the Post Office Hotel, it was said 1 the debts amounted to £600. Mr Ri ley complained '^that after he took possession of the hotel Smith' removed about £800 worth of silver, liquor, etc., from the place. The Official Assignee reported that there . were' a number of billsin the National Bank, and he had given notice to the manager that they were claimed, on behalf of the creditors. There ' Was a draft m London for £500, and if the creditors would give him (Official Assignee) authority to stop acceptance of the draft, which was issued by Messrs Levin and ' Go., he would cable home to prevent payment.
