It is, however, too early m the season to expect steady and extreme prices to be maintained m the market, and we are inclined to look upon. the present aspect of affairs as temporary. The supply of butter this season m New Zealand se'eins unlimited ; quotations rule from 9d.to 9Ad. Other lines of produce are with out much alteration. .Prime new short oats are firm at 2s 6d ; long feed, 2s sd ; good whole fowls' wheat, 3s 4d to 3s 6d ;; Adelaide flour, £11 15s to £l2s ; colonial, £8 10s to .£9 10s, according to brand'; rye grass, prime sample, 5s 3d to 5s 6d'; cocksfoot, 4id ; potatoes, of prime quality, are m active demand at £8 15s to £4- ; common samples rule team. 30s ,-. cheese, 5d to Gd ; onions, £8 ; fresh butter 9d ; eggs, scarce, at Is 7d to Is 8d per doz. The supply of common apples is xm'limited, and consequently realisations are at zero, ruling from Is 6d to 3s per ease ; good samples maintain fair rates, say from 12s to 168 ; others not m demand ; plums from 4s ; quinces, 2d per lt>; •
