(united prkss association) Auckland, Wednesday. Two cases Of drowning are reported, the victims m both cases being children under two years of age. The first was the son of Mr Albeit D. Riffle, bricklayer, Kingsland, who. strayed into a oroek about twenty yards from the door oE the house, and was drowned before it was missed In the other ease an infant daughter of Mr Bernard Mulholland, of Freeman's Bay was left to play m the yafd, and fell into a tub of water aud was drowned. Cardinal Moian arrived by the Wairarapa at 1 o'clock on Monday after-: noon, and was received by "a large concourse of: Catholics. A flotilla of small steamers met him m the harbor, : and on landing Cardinal Moran" was presented with an address of welcome and congratulations. A procession over half a mile long was formed, and marched to the.residence of Bishop Luck, 'whejre the school children assembled, with three bands of music, m procession, and over twenty carriages.
