Gas Works.
The sub- committee, appointed by the Borough Council to interview Mr George of the * Wellington Gas Company, met that gentleman to day to consult QVer ; the question of erecting local 'Gas Works. We are not m possession of the particu .. hirs of the discussion which took place, but understand that nothing definite was determined on ,and also that probably the proposals for the scheme will be rejected and the matter shelved for the present.
