He was accorded , an. enthusiastic reception at the railway' station, and was driven to- the Church of the Blessed Sacrament m a carriage drawn by four black' horses. At. the church addresses of welcome were pre setited from the clergy, .the Roman Catholic laity,and the : Hibernian Society. In replying, Cardinal Moran expressed tl|e pleasure that he felt "m being able to co-operate with Bishop Redwood and the. priests rand congregation here m the gjreatwork of Christ m charity, iv which they were now engaged*' -In connection: with the establishment of the Magda-lene-Asylum, .be .compliitfott^eil>jthe /con--g'regation on what he had seen d£' their convent and schools. He heartily 'thaok'edithera for the.w elcome accqrd«dhim. The ceremony , closed with the Benediction of the' Blessed- Sacrament. TJhe approaches to the church were decorated j and- the whole of 'the proceedings passed off with great enthusiasm.
