BinejOlsen, a servant, of Mr Laurvig Hermahsen, of Danevirke, about twelve years old, yesterday, alter returning from school at three o.m , went into the bush looking for c 4 ows.. (About; 7 p.m. a party went oat searching m the surrounding bush until 1 o'clock this morning but m fain. About six a.m. Mr A. Haggen went to Tahoraite,, asking the engine driver 6f the 7 a.m.. train to blow the whistle: from Danevirke to Mans;atera Station, the bush being alongside the railway line during that distance m which the girl was supposed to have been lost. This whistling the girl heard, and found the railway line about nine a.m., just as another party was ready to go out searching.jShe must h^ve tpayeljed a considerably lqng distance m the busk last ! night, as she did not hear either men or j the 9 p.m. train from Napier pass by. She laid down two hours during the nightj, and had travelled the remaining i 15 hours, having torn her clothes and scratohed her face very much through wandering through the dense hush.
