Hospital Board.
At the usual monthly meeting of the above board held m the Wantranui Council Chambers yesterday there were present—Messrs Peat, Poison, Macartlmr, West, and Wilson. Mr F. R. Jackson, the chairman of the board, being una voidably absent, Mr Peat was voted to the chain. Old Man's Refuge.— Df Earie stated that he had inspected the house m Guy ton-street/ belonging to Mr George Howe, and at present occupied by Mrs Delves, and considered it would be large enough for about ten patients, and for that number would suit very well. It was resolved, That the chairman and Dr Earle, should .report alternatively on the cost of putting Mr Howe's house m repair, and of adding two wards to the hospital. . . . Cost' v of Patients.—A letter was read from the , .Napier Hospital Board protesting'against a charge of 4s lOd a day (which jncludea.medical treatment,. &c.) madefy the Wanganui Hospital Board for' a man named , John Johnson, and sjtajting that* the.cpst, of* keep, A &c ;.,„ jat Napier ■ls°4s*a day. f " " Accounts. — Accounts to the amount of £125 ls.Bd were passed. for payment.
