The I most important notice posted on the buVfctin board of the House of, Lords was the announcement by Lord Kilmdrey of a motion' 'to' abolish viee -royalty 'over iraland. Iho proposal includes the aboliiion^p^;.th[ef Qfpoa, p£ . .LordJl^iKuMeant^bf Ireland, of his civil and military staff, and his official household ; also the aboli tion, of* thfe v office of jOhieff SecfetaVy'ot' Ireland and all his subordinates ; and the Abandonment of Dublin Castle as a viceregal residence. It was asserted authoritatively on the afternoon of the 1 4th that the Government, acting upon the report of the legal advisers of tpe Crown, has decided .to take legal proceedings to oust 'Mr Brad laugh. Th y e main ground of proceedinsr against him is the fact thiiti ,Mr. ■ Bradlaugh 'has dec|ared that the oath is not binding on his conscience.
