♦ B / cable as we go to press, we learn of v serious riot m London yesterday. There inui been a meeting of unemployed m ha fa Iv ar Hqnare, when speeches of a Violent character were made. The mob . then became riotous, overpowered the police, broke windows m Fall Mall, broke into and sacked the shops of jewellers, ; bakers, winesellers, &c, m Picadilly and South' Audley street, and attacked and robbed -the footpaasengers 'and carriages. The mob then marched through Oxford-street, Eegeiit- street, smashing the' "'windows as they passe . along; The polfce were quite powerless to suppress the outrages.
