The statement that Her Majesty the Queen has summoned Earl Granville to Osborne^ has not been confirmed and is believed to f be inaccurate. Mr Chamberlain has declined the portfolio of JFirst Lord of the Admiralty. It is reported that Earl Northbrqok will be appointed Lord Lieu tenant o£ lreland but the rumour lacks official confirmation.
