New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Asrehcy Company (Limited) have received the following cable message from their London office, dated January 26th: — Wool. — New South Wales and Queensland short staple merino is neglected, and greasy merino has declined a penny since close of last sales. Crossbredjmarket Is firmer. The American demand is igood for long staple merino, light m grease. Faulty scoured has declined |d; -other- —descriptions- . are unchanged. "Wools of a faulty charaoter are neglected.. The Home demand » 'good, but there is little animation displayed by French buyers. The total quantitr catalogued to date is 54,000 bales, and 6500 bales have been withdrawn. Frozen meat. — Arrivals are m excess of trad* requirements : the doinmd m decreasing and stocks are accuminulating. Stocks of American boile 1 beef are heary.
