' ' In the "Vyesleyan Conterence on Thursday a motion for giving lay represehtatiyesjthe right to attend as visitors at the ministerial sitting was lost. Telegraphic greetings were received from the New South Wales and South Australian Conference. It was decided to send congratulatory replies, and that a similar telegram be sent to the yictorian Conference., ,The Rev. J. Griffith and J. T. Wills, probatipne'rs, werfe ordered to reX -mam on probatiou for another year. The Rev. F, F . Jones and . Otto Christopherson were recommended for. ordination. A' Cable message was received from the General Secretary of Missions m Sydney, stating that the offer of the Rev.' Mr Slade to join the South Sea Missions had been accepted; also from the Sydtiey Conference, stating that they desired the transfer of the Rcv.R. Bavin to Sydneyj and were trying to arranejef or a suitable :exchange: The statioii sheet was read a second time; The following were among the changes proposed :—*Kangitikei, W.
