Tlie disease commences with a slight derangement? of the stomach, but, if neglected, it m time involves the whole frame, embracing the kidneys, liver, pancreas, and, m fact, the entire glandular systerivaml'the afflicted drag 3 oat a miserable existence until death gives relief from suffering. The disease is often mistaken for other complaints ; but if the reader will ask himself the following questiousi'hV will be able to determine whether he himself is one of the afflicted -.—Have I distress, pain, or , difficulty ill breathing after eating ?' Is there a dull, ' heavy 1 feeling attended by drowsiness? Have the eye3,a yellow tiugo ? Does a thick, sticky, mucous gather about the gums and teeth m the mornings, accompanied by a disagreeable taste? Is the tongue "cbat«a? Is there pains tn the side and back ? Is -there, a fulness about the right side as if the liver were enlarging? Is there eostiveness? Is there vertigo or dizziness when rising suddenly from-au-horizoutal position.? Are Jbhe secretions from the kidneys scanty and highly coloured, with a deposit after-standing?
