The practice of using the Square thoroughfares for the breaking in of horses, is becoming a decided nuisance, apart altogether from the danger likely to result from such practice. During yesterday a young animal under the above treatment, got away from the horse-breaker repeatedly, and it is a wonder that in his mad career round the Square a serious accident did not occur. The police should interfere and put an immediate stop to this highly objectionable practice, before it is carried too far with possibly fatal results. Mrs Clifford advertises for a strong respectable girl as general help. We are glad to hear that the amount of last year's capitation entirely frees our local volunteers from debt, and we understand various inducements are now offered to recruits joining during the present month
