(BT ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH — COPYRIGHT.) (REUTER'S TELEGRAMS.") Melbourne, Tuesday. The dispute between the men employed m the flour mills and the'masters still remains unsettled. The men are willing to a.gree to a reduction of 10 per cent, on all wages above two pounds per week, . on the condition that the hours be reduced to eight per day. The millowners refuse any concession, and if a settlement is not arrived at the men go out on strike on the Ist February. The Victorian Seamen's Union received a reply from the New South Wales, Union, promising co-operation m case of strike. The Brisbane Union requested fur.tb.er information before giving definite answer. ■ The masters remain firm and are determined that if the strike extends to lay up their vessels altogether rather than submit to the demands of the men.
