New Zealand Securities— s per cent. 10-40 loan, 104, ex div ; 4i per cent. 1879-1904 loan, 104£ ; 4 per cent, inscribed stock, 100£ ex div. The market rate of discount is 2$ per cent., bank rate 4 per cent. Colonial breadstuff s are unchanged. - - Tallow is unaltered. The weekly returns of the Bank of England, published to-day, show the total reserve m notes and bullion to be £17,100,000, and the proportion of reserve to liabilities, 45 pen- cent.
