WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS COMING . ■ ..-UPON tJS. . . tJ J '**'. i' -'i ' . - .' ' ' ; ' Like a thief at night it steals m upon us unawares. Many persons have pains about the chest and' sides, and sometimes m the back. They feel dull and sleepy ; the mouth has a bad taste especially m the morning. A sort of sticky slime collects aoout the teefli. 1 ; *The appetite is pppr. There is a feeling like a -heavr load 'on the stomach; sometimes a faint all-gone sensation at the pit of the stomach whiob/food does not satisfy. The eyes are snuken, the hands and feet become cold and feel clammy. After a^Wjhile a oough sets m at first dry, but after a few^inonths it is attended with a greenish coloured expectoration I ; 'The afflicted oneTfeels tired all the while; and sleep does not seem to afford any rest. After, a time he becomes nervous, irritable, and gloomy, and has evil forebodings. There is a giddiness, a sort of whirling sensation m the headwhenrising-upßUddenly. The bowels become costive : the skin is dry and hot at times ; the blood becomes thicfc'and'stagnant ; the whites of the eyes become tinged with yellow, the urine is scanty and high-colonred, depositing a sedimentf after standing. There is frequently a spitting up of the food, sometimes with a sour .taste, and sometimes AVith a sweetish taste; this is frequently attended with palpitation of the heart: the vision becomes impaired with spots before' tha eyes ; there is a feeling of great prostration and weakness. Ail of these •ymptomsare m turn present. It is thought that nearly one-third of our -population has this disease m some of its varied forms. It has been found that medical men BaVe mistaken- the nature of this disease. Some have treated it for a liver complaint, others for kidney disease, etc., etc., "but none of the various kinds of treatment have been attended with ' success, because the remedy should be such as to act harmoniously upon each one of these organs, and upon thestomach as well ; for m Dyspepsia (for this is really what the disease is), all of these organs partake of tnis disease and require a remedy that will act upon all at the same time: Seigel's Curative Syrup acts like a charm iri this class of 'complaints,' giving almdst-: immediate .relief. The following letters from chemists of standing m. the community where they live show m what estimation the article is held. Wholesale Agents, Kempthorne, Prosser & • Co.'s New Zealand Drug Co. (Limited), Dunedin, Christchurch^Wellingtou, and Auckland. John Archer, Harthill, near Shefflield:— l can confidently recommend it to all who may be snfferingfrom liver 1 or stomach complaints, having the testimony of my customers, who have derived great benefit from the Syrup and Pills. Bobt. Lame, Melksham :— I can 'well recommend the Curative Syrup from having proved its efficacy for indigestion myself. Priockheim, Arbroath, Porfarshire, Sept. 23, 1882. Dear SUv-Last -year I sent you a letter recommending Mother Seigel's Syrup. I have very much pleasure m still bearing testimony to the very satisfactory results of the famed Syrup and JPills. , Most patent medicines die out with me, but Mother Siegel has had a steady sale v ever since J commenced, and is still in,a great demand as when I first began to sell the medicine. The cures which have come x under my notice aro chiefly those of liver complaint and general debility..' ! ... A certain minister m my neighbourhood says it. is the only thing which has benefited him andre stored him to his normal coudition of Health after being unable to preach for' a considerable length of time. I could mention also a great many, other cases, but . space would not allow. A near friend of mine, who Is very much addicted to costiveness. or constipation, finds that Mother Seigel's Pills are the only pills which suit his complaint.. All-other pill 3 cause ■ a reaction which is very annoying. Mother Seigel's Pills do not leave a bad after-effect. I have much pleasure m commending again to suffering humanity Mother Seigel's medicines, which are no sham. If this letter is of any service you can publish it. «,7 7 Tours very truly, , (Sfgned)" " Wi}fiiim S. Glass, Chemist.

Dear Sir,— l write to tell you that Mr Henry Hillier, of Yateabury, Wilts, informs me that he suffered from a severe form of indigestion for upwards of fqur and took no end of doctor's medicine without the slightest benefit, and declares Mother Seigel's Syrup which he got from me has saved his life: •'■"■■ ; Tours truly, .
