Lawn Tennis at Napier.
(VKK JNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Napier. Wednesday. The interprovincial lawn tennis tournament commenced at Farndon Park yesterday. There was a Large attendance, and gre.tt interest was taken in the matches. The first and second rounds of doubles and singles were played, but they included few matches of anv importur.ee. In singles, the chief match wns between Mr Rosk. of Christchurch, and Mr Grant, of (xisborne, the former winning. In doubles the best game was between Messrs Kenned}' and Begg and MesHrs Fen wick and Jardine, both of Napier, the former team winning.
